Use case · Architecture firm

Projects that take years, a site that shows them the way the firm sees them.

Atelier Tremblay Roy has thirty projects on its site, each with dozens of photos, drawings and a press kit. They work in French and English, and a project page changes as the building goes from sketch to award. Here’s the week a project wins.

The new project, in both languages

The partner wrote the project text in French. The English side is empty. Translate it, then say which fields look right: until someone does, they stay marked.

What it takes

The parts that do the work

  • Galleries

    Every size, made once

The site asks for the width it needs. Each size is made once, in light formats like WebP and AVIF.

    • Sharp on large screens
    • Eight crop shapes
  • Files

    Drawings, PDFs and models

Pictures, video, PDF and Word documents, and 3D models in glTF, GLB or USDZ, in the same library.

    • “Used in”, field by field
    • 50 MB a file, unless you change it
  • Languages

French and English, side by side

Fields in each language, alt text included. Each page has an address in each language.

    • Missing fields marked
    • /projects and /fr/projets
  • History

    Years of a project, kept

Every save is a commit. The competition text from five years ago is still there.

    • On every plan
    • Restore as a new save

Questions agencies ask

A reader asksCan visitors turn a 3D model around on the site?

MoteurMoteur stores and serves the file. Showing it is your site’s job, with a viewer like <model-viewer>.

A reader asksHow much room do photos take?

MoteurFiles count as uploaded: 5 GB on Pro and 20 GB on Extra. Resized copies don’t count.

A reader asksCan we show projects on a map?

MoteurNot yet. A location is a field you add to the project model, and your site draws the map.
