Use case · Boutique

A showroom, not a checkout. Every piece shown the way it deserves.

Maison Elle sells jewellery in three boutiques and never online. The site is a showroom: the collections, the pieces, the boutiques’ hours, and a way to ask for a private appointment. Its team changes the window every season, without you. Here’s the week a collection is unveiled.

A week at the boutique

Each piece, an entry

A name, the materials, the photos, a line of text. The collection page lists them in the order the manager likes.

An example week. Every step is something the Studio does today.

Try it

A private appointment, and a bot

The boutique’s appointment form, and its Inbox. A real request lands in Unread and the team is told. The bot fills in every field, the hidden one too, and that’s how it’s caught.

What it takes

The parts that do the work

  • Collections

    Pieces as entries

Model a piece once, then add as many as the season brings. The site lists them where you want.

    • Fields you choose
    • Rules that keep them complete
  • Photos

A focal point on the piece

Set once. Every crop and every width keep the stone in frame.

    • Eight shapes
    • Alt text in every language
  • Appointments

    An inbox for requests

Forms are built in, with a spam folder and a note to the team.

    • No form service to pay
    • Bots caught by a hidden field
  • Seasons

    Last season’s window, kept

Every save is kept. Last winter’s collection page is one restore away.

    • On every plan
    • Restore as a new save

Questions agencies ask

A reader asksCan visitors buy online?

MoteurNot through Moteur. It’s a showroom: the collections, the boutiques and the requests. Products from Shopify can come in as entries through the API, but there’s no Studio screen for it yet.

A reader asksCan a visitor book a time slot?

MoteurThey can ask for one: the form sends a request to the Inbox. Moteur doesn’t manage a calendar.

A reader asksDoes the boutique need us to change the window?

MoteurNo. Once the site is built, the collections are entries the team edits in the Studio.
